Easy Document Capture for effective customer engagement

Likewise, a customer involved in a minor car accident can take photos of the damaged vehicle at the scene and upload them to their insurance company together with a claim form to begin the claim process immediately. Citizens can apply for public programs and easily submit any required documentation, such as an earnings statement or proof of employment, without visiting a service center.

IBM Datacap automatically detects the type of document captured and classifies it into a category such as a claim, a new account application or a delivery confirmation. Data is extracted from the document and displayed on the device screen, where the user can view and edit it to ensure correctness. IBM Datacap can extract document properties from the document, or the user can enter that information directly. Prompts make it simple to capture the right information. The software also performs validation to help ensure the capture is complete and precise.
